HOW TO WEAR SHORTS!!!!!!

When it warms up we want to wear shorts but sometimes it’s hard to know what to wear that will still look appropriate, I know wearing shorts can be a daunting task. While anyone model-skinny or chiselled leg can throw on a pair of shorts without a second thought, some can be insecure about exposing the knee cap. But not to worry there is a pair for everyone! Long legs, pear shape, plus size, petite. Below are a few ideas for wearing shorts

  • Wear a cute pair of heels or wedges:  they don’t even have to be killer heels. A simple 3 inch heel will do the job. This creates the illusion of longer legs,  Heels also give you a height boost in general.

    • Get your Triple T going (Time To Tan): Not everyone is a huge fan of tanning but even if you just get sun kissed it provides a nice glow for your legs. You can go for a natural tan, or any sort of bottled tan spray/moisturizer.
    • Take Time Trying on Your Denim Shorts: This is a crucial tip. We all have different bodies shapes and you have to know what cut caters to your needs.  I wouldn’t recommend buying your denim extremely tight, I would go for fitted. I say this because you don’t want your thighs over lapping the short. It will make you appear out of shape even if you’re not and isn’t necessarily appealing. For those of you who want a slimmer look try baggy shorts. You can dress them up for elegant evening or down for carefree weekends or whether you are hitting the resort for the season
    •  A tank or simple t-shirt will look chic with shorts, but pair them with a button-down dress shirt for a Katherine Hepburn aesthetic.
    •  High waisted shorts, especially the nautical variety, will look fabulous paired with your favorite bikini for a fun new cover-up. These will look great and make you feel like you’re straight out of a movie filmed at the French Riviera!

  • Be confident! It takes a bold girl to rock these babies — hold your head up high and let the world know how great you know you look!
